How This Personality Test Works

Our assessment measures your behavioral preferences across the four core dimensions of personality typology originally conceptualized by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung and further developed by Isabel Briggs Myers and Katharine Cook Briggs.

The 60 statements are balanced across four dichotomies to eliminate bias:

  • Mind (Extraversion vs Introversion): How you direct your energy and interact with your surrounding environment.
  • Energy (Sensing vs Intuition): How you observe, process, and absorb new information.
  • Nature (Thinking vs Feeling): How you make decisions and evaluate options.
  • Tactics (Judging vs Perceiving): How you organize your daily work, schedules, and planning.

Scoring Methodology

Each question presents a statement answered on a 7-point circular scale ranging from Strongly Agree (+3) to Strongly Disagree (-3). Half of the statements point toward the first pole (e.g. Extraversion), and half point toward the second pole (e.g. Introversion).

Upon completion, your raw score per dimension is converted into a 0 to 100 percentage balance. If your score leans positive on a dimension, you receive the first letter; if negative, the second letter. The four resulting letters form your final type code.

The 4 Dichotomies Explained

E vs I: Mind

Extraverts (E) recharge through active social engagement, while Introverts (I) recharge through quiet solitude.

S vs N: Energy

Sensors (S) focus on physical facts and present realities, while Intuitives (N) focus on abstract ideas and future possibilities.

T vs F: Nature

Thinkers (T) prioritize objective logic and impartial criteria, while Feelers (F) prioritize personal values and empathy.

J vs P: Tactics

Judgers (J) prefer structured plans and clear closure, while Perceivers (P) prefer flexibility and spontaneous exploration.
